Not every person embarking down the aisle has been dreaming of their wedding day since they could walk. To some, they meet their person, get engaged and now have to imagine what this day will look like. These are actually my favorite type of clients, because the wedding day is that much more personal, not just a one-sided vision board that says [insert bride or groom here].

So its safe to say in the short period of time I got to work with J+J, I was equally invested in all the details, as they, coming together for their July nuptials. From the menu selections and bar offerings, to the text of their invites, song choices, and even what type of dress the bride would wear. There is a strong bond of trust built and a deep connection as a wedding planner/client, working so close for months and months (sometimes year(s), you honestly become friends throughout the process.

Fast forward 6 months, and proud mama bear over here got to witness two people who initially admitted they had no idea what they were doing, and quite possibly wished to avoid photos and attention at all costs .. We to my and possibly, theirs, they fooled all guests in attendance of these concerns. They embraced the day with smiles, warm embraces and boasting with happiness to share this planning experience with their guests. For all who walked around taking in the personal touches we carefully curated - “Look over here’, “see this”, “this is so Jessica”, “you have to check this out”. “isn’t this a great idea” - Music to this wedding planners ears. We did it!

So although they couldn’t picture it at first, they successfully created ‘their’ wedding vision. And I was just lucky enough to help.
