Although there are a plethora of resources out there to tell you how to plan the perfect wedding; step by step on what to do/what not to do, what to expect every step of the way… The reality is, well reality… It might be a minor setback, or a big oh sh** moment, the moral of the story is no matter how prepared you are, anything could happen, Now before you panic, all scenarios are manageable when you recognize the reason you are going through this process in the first place - To marry your best friend.

From the very start of our planning Becca & Chris were laid back, not overly concerned about the toss away details, focus was on the who and where. So with their 15/10 venue selected; Northridge Inn, it was simple - Retro pool party vibes on Friday, Wedding Day (Saturday) with lots of socializing, group breakfast Sunday. 100 of their nearest and dearest gathered for a weekend of memories.

Becca & Chris, planning from Ottawa, myself and venue in Northern, Ontario, managed through zoom meetings over the course of our 12+ months together, not officially meeting until wedding weekend. Circle back to the opening paragraph here, these two managed more “unexpected” bumps in the road then one would wish on anyone during their final stages of planning. Last minute guest cancellations, a vendor emergency the day of, and sadly, the loss of their puppy, Bruno, who had a special role in the day.. I will keep this part short, because the pain was real, but they handled all of this, with such grace.

Although tears were indeed shed, these two never once lost sight of those first look moments, their vows, their marriage.
