Catalina & Pauric (Están casados - atá pósta) Are married!
Catalina and Pauric took their 2022 wedding plans from city living, to cottage country - Given Catalina’s Columbian background, and Pauric’s Irish roots, the majority of immediate family would be traveling from various distant cities and countries. What better way to welcome guests to Ontario (many for the first time) then by inviting them all to one of it's most stunning locations. Cata and Pauric would soon after fall in love with Trillium Resort in Muskoka.
Guests would start things off with check-in, little customized greeting bags including the weekend essentials (pro tip: adding an itinerary and map to this ensures guests know exactly when and where to be). A welcome bbq would then kick off the festivities, allowing everyone to get to know one another before tomorrow’s celebrations. Wedding day was finally here, and while Cata and her girls could get ready onsite, guests were off enjoying the amenities of the resort and of course, the most serene, private lake with 360 degree views of iconic Canadian trees. Not for too long though, while the bride & groom opted for a first look, the venue team (myself included) looked to clear the beach for the couple’s mid afternoon ceremony offering the most idyllic skies and scenic backdrop for their I do’s.
The evening highlights; Speeches were heartfelt and full of stories that had everyone in tears of joy and past reflection. Our Groom’s sister, a celebrated Irish dancer would perform for the crowd and have everyone clapping their hands and stomping their feet. A 5 piece band would give a personal touch to all the couple’s first dances, and a list full of classics that guests would be belting out loud too. The bar… oh the bar… I quickly realized after all of our planning discussions why it was imperative to organize a host bar and the hours of service be maximized. As you may have heard (and I can now confirm) the Irish can drink! Their vocabulary also highly entertaining at this part of the evening - Subtitles please!
Well Bannigan’s, you did it! A Destination Wedding Planning success story, right here, in beautiful Muskoka!

Be you rich or poor, quick or slow,
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.
And, may the joys of today
Be those of tomorrow.
